LAFORGE, consistent with its commitments to fulfill various customers needs, is offering 3 models of Front hitches and Front PTOs as well as Electronic Controls for the New JOHN DEERE 6R tractors.

- Standard front hitch: GL ST3.8/6R with 3800 Kg lift capacity. For most common applications.

- Premium front hitch: GL PR5.5/6R with 5500 Kg lift capacity. When extra strength is required, even with offset load.

- Heavy duty front hitch: GL HD4.5/6R with 4500 Kg lift capacity. For special applications and intensive uses.

These front hitches are designed to be installed by dealers within an hour (without option).

The GL PR5.5/6R Premium front hitch is of an entire new design with casted frame and lower link bracket. It is perfectly integrated to the tractor, thus ensuring maximum steering angle

It is equipped with storage kit for loose balls, and options are front hydraulic receptacles (up to 2 kits), return oil line, light connector, ISO connector bracket, as well as exclusive LAFORGE electronic control and DynaContour^®.




On Front PTO with multi-plates wet discs and modulated engagement. The choice of versions designed for all types of utilization is as following:

- 540 RPM , 6 splines output shaft, clockwise rotation when looking at the shaft
- 1000 RPM, 21 splines output shaft, clockwise rotation when looking at the shaft
- 1000 RPM, 6 splines output shaft, counter-clockwise rotation when looking at the shaft.

Foldable front hitches are appreciated for their compactness when not in use and for their compatibility with front end loader.
However they are facing 2 major draw backs:
- They must be folded manually and unfolded before using them.
- Extra pivot points are source of added play and wear.

Since several years, LAFORGE produces communal plates which bolt directly on tractor structure.

Sugar cane mechanization is not only related to harvesting.

LAFORGE front hitches are developed in close co-operation with JOHN DEERE for the 8030 series are also 100% compatible with the 8R series.
The models GreenLink(R) ST4/8.3 and GreenLink(R) ST5/3, models offer the benefit of parallel foldable arms, the only solution allowing the correct arms’ operation without self locking in implement’s frame.
The Green Link 80.3 model designed to push without restriction and with an especially compact design (overhang in working position similar to original weights overhang) also offers the exclusive advantage of side to side ground contour following while carrying an implement and with a controlled working height.
Furthermore, the GreenLink(R) 80.3 IC version with Intercoupler (LAFORGE exclusive) allows for side to side ground contour following, as mentioned above, and for the stability of the working implements while being lifted up.

Every front hitch for JOHN DEERE series 8R is designed to adapt the LAFORGE optional automatic controls: DynaContour® exclusive system (Golden Medal SIMA 2005). This automatic control allows for dynamic corrections of the front hitch position by measuring the length of the top link.
Without any further adjustment the DynaContour® system ensures ground contour following and the complete automation of the IMS avoiding manual correction.

Note: Structure on 8RT series (track tractor) is different from the one on 8030T series due to the rear reinforcement frame and the track suspension.

The FLEXIPASS range is expanded with a packer-roller

FLEXIPASS is a rear mounted top soiler. Available in either single or twin bar version, and with either shear-bolt safety or a hydraulic Auto-Reset system. It is now available with a single- or twin-mulching unit and roller.

In response to the demands for being able to operate in a wide variety of conditions, LAFORGE is introducing a new packer-roller in the FLEXIPASS top soiler range. This optional packer-roller replaces the traditional roller. It’s ideal for rocky conditions because it avoids jamming. The packer-roller has also performs excellent in wet conditions.

Auto-Reset swivel-tines: an unbeatable LAFORGE exclusive

The LAFORGE hydraulic Auto-Reset design for top soilers is the undisputed leader in this field. In addition to the clearing the obstacle vertically, the tine can also move laterally because it is mounted on a pivoting bracket.

The exclusive swiveling tine design is available for the whole range of LAFORGE top soilers : UNIPASS® front and rear systems, single and twin bar FLEXIPASS.

The unique mounting of the tines on a swivel bracket allows it to slide around the obstacles. This leads to the following advantages:
- Reduced power requirement
- Reduced amount of stones brought to the surface - Improved protection of the tines
- Significant improvement in reliability of the hinges

UNIPASS®: optimal weight distribution with maximum inter-tine clearance

UNIPASS® is a front (and/or) rear top soiler, with 3 to 5 front swivel tines (3 to 4,5m width) and two rear tines placed closely behind the tractor wheels. Customizing of widths and configurations is available upon request.

Thanks to the distribution of front and rear tines, UNIPASS® is the only system allowing a dynamic weight distribution of the tractor while at the same time assuring a great inter-tine clearance.

The swivelling tines are available on shear bolt and hydraulic Auto-Reset versions. They allow a pulled version driving. The front version of UNIPASS® eliminates wheel tracks without losing time while ploughing (see picture).

The Laforge GL ST2 front hitch is available for John Deere 5R series tractors in 1.800 or 3.000 Kg versions.
The convergent foldable arms – with Walterscheid automatic Cat.2 hooks – ensure the compatibility with John Deere loaders.
Thanks to its design, the top link stays stored on the tractor during loader use.

This front hitch is compatible, with a unique choice of Laforge front PTOs equipped with modulated multi-disc wet clutch capable of delivering full engine power at the front to meet all possible applications requirements:
- 1.000 rpm, counterclockwise rotation
- 1.000 rpm, clockwise rotation
-    540 rpm, clockwise rotation
Many options such as weight frames, hoses kit or electronic controls allow to favourably complement the equipment for an optimized efficiency.

LAFORGE has issued information about the front hitch installation for its HDIT front hitch for MT 700B and MT700 C CHALLENGER Track tractors.
While the design was implemented while following AGCO guide lines to optimise the installation and performance the wording "approved without restriction by AGCO" is not fully reflecting the situation.

The design ensures that the tractor will reach maximum tractive capacity, when pushing an implement, before exceeding frame strength.
However, due to the front overhang it is important that the front hitch is not loaded to full capacity without checking the whole tractor weight distribution and dynamic stability.
Considering that it is not possible to control that this process is implemented properly, AGCO Corporation does not support nor endorse this product.

The 73rd SIMA, The International Agri-Business Show was held from February 22 to 26 at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte.

LAFORGE has presented its latest innovations : range of electro-hydraulic front power take off with modulated, multi-disc wet clutch, ballasting system 2-Stage FLEXIMASS® and automatic control DynaContour® for front hitches.

Specially designed for intensive use, HDI front hitch is now available for CASE PUMA tractors.

This front hitch is compatible with LAFORGE electro-hydraulic front Power Take Off with modulated, multi-discs wet clutch : counter iso rotation (2 gears, 6 splines / 1000 rpm) and in iso rotation (3 gears, 6 splines / 540 rpm or 21 splines / 1000 rpm.

It can also be equipped with LAFORGE patented and exclusive automatic controls: automatic position and traction control and DynaContour® Ultima pack.

On illustrations, it's a CASE PUMA 210 tractor equipped with HDI front hitch with automatic position and traction control.

These options have been developed to simplify the task of the operator and ensure quality work while maximizing the performance of tractor combination front / rear.

LAFORGE offers a new range of front PTO with modulated, multi-discs wet clutch. The modulation of this robust clutch protects implements.

Front power take-off are available in iso rotation, 3 gears : 6 splines / 540 rpm or 21 splines / 1000 rpm. The nominal speed of those PTO is 80 HP for 540 rpm model and 180 HP for 1000 rpm model.

The innovative "zero seal" design eliminate seal's friction and improved heat dissipation. Thus, components have better durability.

Those PTO have also a speed controller (on the mastershield) with a control switch in cab. This switch has two stages to avoid unexpected start and a light allowing speed monitoring.

LAFORGE presented its new front hitch – named HDIT with a lifting capacity of 6000 KG – for track-type CHALLENGER tractors MT 700B / 700C series.

The design ensures that the tractor will reach maximum tractive capacity, when pushing an implement, before exceeding frame strength.

LAFORGE offers two exclusive automatic controls for its front hitches: automatic position and traction control and the DynaContour® Ultima pack. Compatible with all tractor brands, these automatic controls allow - thanks to a control box in the cab - a perfect mastery of the front implements working depth.

Position and Traction Control improves the tractor performance by continuously adjusting the front hitch in relation to the tractor’s level of slippage. The operator simply decide, on the control box, when the tractor slippage percentage should be used as maximum reference as well as how much the working depth is allowed to deviate. The control then takes over and automatically activates the lift cylinders as required by the amount of slippage. The tractor will operate at peak performance thanks to the automatic connection between the slippage level and the front
hitch.

DYNACONTOUR® Ultima takes performance beyond position and Traction Control, and Weight Transfer System, by adding real time field contour following.DYNACONTOUR® works by continuously sensing the lenght
of the upper link and uses this information to automatically
control the position of front hitch.
According to the surface of the field, the length of upper link will increase or decrease. The information is used to automatically adjust the position of the lower links to assure a constant working depth.
The Weight Transfer completes the device by continuously
transferring a portion of the weight of the implement from the gauge wheel(s) to the tractor.
This transfer of weight to the tractor’s front axle improves
steering and reduces slippage.
The full benefit of DYNACONTOUR® is available without any need for a separate adjustment or control.

LAFORGE offers a new front hitch for Massey Ferguson 6400 / 7400. With its reinforced boxed link assembly, which provides lateral and torsional stiffness, this front hitch - called HDI - is especially designed for intensive applications (top soilers, dozer blades, front plow...). Its lift capacity of 6000 kg allows to lift up heaviest implements.

Equipped with a pushing bar (on front axle not suspended), this front hitch executes heavy tillage while preserving the integrity of the tractor.

This front hitch is compatible with LAFORGE front power take-off with electrohydraulic wet clutch: iso rotation (1000 rpm) available now and counter iso rotation (540 rpm or 1000 rpm) available in september and october. It can also be equipped with exclusive and patented LAFORGE automatic controls: automatic position and traction control and DynaContour® Ultima.

There is a 3000 KG version with converging folding arms and a 4000 KG version with parallel folding arms allowing independent float function to work properly.

Both version are compatible with the 1000 RPM, full power PTO which work with modulated engagement multidiscs wet cutch.

Integrated remote switches, auxiliary hydraulic line, electric power outlet and road light connection are available as options.

A universal exclusive and patented solution to add and remove weight without tool, to optimise ballasting while ensuring compatibility with Trailed , Semi-mounted or 3-point mounted equipments.

The design includes provision to move tractor auxiliary valve coupler on the FLEXIMASS to ease implement’s connections for hydraulic functions.

Adds ballast from 2450 to 3650 KG.

Further benefits: By avoiding weight spinning (which is the case with wheel weight) it saves 8 to 9% energy during acceleration and deceleration phases and reduce braking constrains.

JOHN DEERE as confirmed the selection of LAFORGE as the exclusive world-wide supplier of front 3-point technology for the 8030 Series tractors. This includes both factory installed hitches and dealer installed field kits.

Because several hitch models are available it’s possible to find an optimized combination of tractor and hitch for each customer’s situation. Hitches are designed as integral parts of the tractor which guarantees maximum lift capacity, full crop clearance and full steering angle. Full factory warranty on the tractor remains in effect.

LAFORGE front hitches for JOHN DEERE 8030 Series range in lift capacity from 5000 KG to 5900 KG and includes both models mainly designed as carrier hitches (GL St4/83 and GL St4/83S) as well as models that are designed for heavy duty usage with ground engaging equipment such as dozer blades and primary tillage implements like front plough, front ripper, etc. (GL 80.3C, GL 80.3CS).

PERREIN has a long standing manufacturing presence in the areas of tillage and material handling equipment as well as equipment for the safe storage of chemicals, liquid fertilizers and fuel.

PERREIN specialises in the manufacture of large implements with a high level of customisation. Upon completion of the acquisition, PERREIN will assume the manufacturing responsibilities for select, large LAFORGE-branded implements.

As a result of the transaction, LAFORGE’s current facility in Guignicourt, France will be able to exclusively focus on the development and manufacture of front 3-point hitches, front PTOs and related control technologies. The combination of the two firms will augment LAFORGE’s ability to offer complete front and rear tractor-implement solutions to our customers.

In the French domestic market, the distribution channels of the two firms will remain separate. However, PERREIN will be able to take advantage of LAFORGE’s strong presence in the export market to expand its market area.

Each company, while retaining its independence, will greatly benefit from the expertise of the other.

High capacity silage blade installed on high horse power tractors are necessary to cope with today’s huge chopping capacity of modern forage choppers.

To allow good quality and high productivity in silage pit making LAFORGE has introduced a new 2 STAGES BLADE which can be raised up to ensure efficient silage packing without dragging silage material down.

At Agritechnica, which was held in Hannover (Germany) beginning of November 2005, LAFORGE has shown front hitches and front PTO designed for CASE IH, CLAAS, JOHN DEERE, Mc CORMICK, NEW HOLLAND et MASSEY FERGUSON.
This show was the first public presentation of the GL ST5.3 and GL 80.3 front hitches designed in close cooperation with JOHN DEERE for their new 8030 Serie of tractors.
