Contrary to rear hitches, lift capacity is only a partial indication of a front hitch capability (regardless of the brand).
For carrying applications, lift capacity is a sufficient criteria.
For applications, with high push load requirements, even with light implement (i.e. dozer blade) ability to reliably transfer push load and protection of tractor’s structure are most important.

1) Standard models with convergent arms folding
(ALPHA, MDI 3, MDI 3.8, ST 15, ST 2, ST 25, ST 3, ST 3.1, ST 3.8, ST 3/7)
Lift capacity: from 1800 to 3800 KG
This economical solution is well suited for transport, hay making and secondary tillage applications.
It also eases the compatibility with narrow front end loader boom.
Note : With convergent arms folding solution it is not possible to ensure proper side to side contour following function (regardless of front hitch brand).

2) Standard models with parallel arms folding
(MDI 4, MDI 5, ST4, ST 4.2, ST 4/7, ST 4/8, ST 4/8.3, ST 5.2)
Lift capacity: from 4000 to 5000 KG
This version is well suited for transport, hay making and secondary tillage applications, with heavier implements.
Hence installation on higher HP tractors.
With this version, the parallel arms folding design allows for perfect float and side to side ground contour following of implements.

Lift capacity: from 4000 to 5200 KG
These versions are designed with reinforced arms, lower link assembly and pivot points to reliably transfer load generated in normal operating conditions, with ground engaging implements and silage blades.
Parallel arms folding design allows for perfect float and side to side ground contour following of implements.

4) Models for intensive applications and for use on high horse power tractors
(JDS 72, JDS 75, HDI, HDIT, HDS, JDI 80, JDI 80.2, JDI 80.3, JDI 80/7)
Lift capacity: from 4000 to 6600 KG
With these versions, the lower link assembly is constructed with reinforced boxed arms to reliably transfer the heaviest loads (i.e. dozer blade, large ground engaging implements…) and for intensive utilisations.
Furthermore, the compact design ensure minimal overhang from tractor’s front face.

Choice of top link positions
All front hitches models, starting at 4000 KG lift capacity and above, are supplied with more than one position for Top link location, to optimise implements’field performances and true lift capacity, in relation with the diversity of front implements that are available in the market.
Compatibility with front Power Take-Off
LAFORGE front hitches are compatible with LAFORGE front PTO or front PTO supplied by tractors manufacturers with which LAFORGE has close relationship, while matching international standards.
